Thank you to Mrs. Lore’s 2nd Grade Class at North Side!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of playing a few George Harrison songs and talking about my own CD at Mrs. Lore’s 2nd grade class in North Side elementary school.  Mrs. Lore is a huge Beatles fan and is passing her knowledge and love of the Beatles on to her 2nd graders.  I can’t think of a better way to start one’s musical education.  I led the class in singing 2 very well known George Harrison songs that they already knew - Here Comes The Sun and Give Me Love.  It was great having the entire class participate and sing along!  I also played another Harrison tune called Any Road, off his last album, “Brainwashed.”  The class really seemed to like that one, too.  After taking a few questions, I then handed out copies of my own CD to everyone in the class.

I had a great time playing for Mrs. Lore’s class, but the best part came a few days later, when I received thank-you letters from the class, telling me how much they enjoyed it, too.  They even told me they loved my CD, with many students mentioning certain song titles that they particularly enjoyed!  It seemed that their favorites were Friend In Need and Do You Wanna Play.  I was really touched by what they had to say, and I want to thank Mrs. Lore and her class for being such a great audience!  I would love to do it again soon.

I especially want to thank Emma Vaccaro for asking me to play for her class.  Thanks, Emma!
