All my anger
Had kept my seething
I was so wound up I had trouble breathing
When I was slighted, I took things personally
I wasn’t strong
I just pretended
I was so timid, easily offended
That’s not the person who I envisioned to be
But I can’t go back to that way of living
Best I can do is to feel forgiven
Accept my mistakes and my poor reactions
And from here plot a whole new course of action
I can’t go back to that way of dying
That’s how it feels trust me I ain’t lying
Yes indeed I am past the point of hating
Instead I would rather feel like love is waiting
I can’t go back
Oh I can be my, my toughest critic
I’d beat myself up the victories were pyrrhic
But there’s no point in being your worst enemy
No I can’t go back to that way of living
Best I can do is to feel forgiven
Accept my mistakes and my poor reactions
And from here plot a whole new course of action
I can’t go back to that way of dying
That’s how it feels trust me I ain’t lying
Yes indeed I am past the point of hating
Instead I would rather feel like love is waiting
I can’t go back
No I can’t go back, back to that way, that way of living
No I can’t go back, best I can do is to feel forgiven, yeah
No I can’t go back to that way of living
Best I can do is to feel forgiven
Accept my mistakes and my poor reactions
And from here plot a whole new course of action
I can’t go back to that way of dying
That’s how it feels trust me I ain’t lying
Yes indeed I am past the point of hating
Instead I would rather feel like love is waiting
Rather feel like love is waiting I can’t go back
No I can’t go back
I can’t go back
No I can’t go back
